Letter to David and Michal Grossman

Dear David and Michal,

We wish to express to you our deepest condolences, sympathy and closeness for the death in battle of your young son Uri, alongside with too many Israeli soldiers.

As a Jewish group committed to ideals of peace and Jewish-Arab coexistence we have closely followed and appreciated your long-standing personal engagement in furthering dialogue between Jews and Arabs, Israelis and Palestinians.

Your thinking, writings and deeds have been for us a point of reference and a source of inspiration since the Lebanon war of 1982.

The grief for the loss of Uri remains something profoundly personal and difficult to comprehend for outsiders but be assured of our empathy and friendship for the years to come.
