Letter to "Peace Now" Israel on the occasion of the Tel Aviv demonstration

On this occasion we are with you in solidarity and support. Over the years we have followed and supported the Israeli peace movement and tried to disseminate your ideas both in the Jewish Community and in the public opinion at large in Italy.

Like other groups in the Diaspora we share the guiding principles of the Israeli-Palestinian Coalition for Peace. We believe that security and peace for the people of both communities can only be reached on the basis of the return to negotiations with the Palestinians, the evacuation of the settlements, and the principle of "two people, two states". There will be no real peace until there will be people, on both sides, who work to destroy the State of Israel or impede the birth of a viable Palestinian State.

We believe that despite all the difficulties, the tragedies and the anxiety that you are going through a peaceful settlement of the conflict is possible. We encourage you to continue in your struggle and we will do all our best to support you and make your ideals and actions be known in Italy.
